[FEATURES] Hockey Community is testing dematerialized schedules in 5 rinks with QR Codes

Picture yourself entering your favorite rink. You ask yourself a few questions. When are the drop-in games, ice times, and public skating sessions? Which teams are playing and which goalies are available?
You know that the answers are available somewhere but just don’t know where to look!? You may not want to hassle the rink manager or rely on those outdated printed schedules. Perhaps you may not want to wait 5 minutes staring at the rink’s screen waiting for the information to scroll.
Hockey Community (HC) has been working at solving this problem by creating a mobile friendly interface for the rink to interact with the players. By providing a single poster and using the QR Code technology, we will simply redirect YOU the player to the rink's information page!!
How it works? Simply scan the QR Code with your smartphone once you enter the rink. You will then have access to the rink’s latest information as well as connect with the players from this location.
HC is testing this technology with two partners: Planet Ice and the ice hockey club Antwerp Phantoms in four locations in the cities of Delta, Maple Ridge, Coquitlam, Kelowna and one in Antwerp (Belgium, Europe). A dozen more are expected to adopt this technology in the near future.
